LJ dies for a day, and I still had 200 entries on the flist to catch up on. I mostly skimmed, so if I missed something, it wasn't intentional.
First day of school today. Pretty non-dramatic. I feel like I've been here before.
I just saw that Edward Norton movie where he's a rhinoceros...don't you hate it when the name of a movie leaves you just as you try to tell everyone how much you loved it? I think I'm having sympathy forgetfulness for Margat. It will come to me...at 4:00 in the morning.
Did I finish that thought? Do I care?
Speaking of things dying (LJ - I spoke of it a few paragraphs ago - yeah), my car spent the weekend at the spa because there was a huge leak in the radiator. Damn expensive, that repair. The mechanic assured me that everything else is in fine working order and commended me on the good care I take of my vehicle. Then he handed me the bill. Ouch. On the plus side, my parents helped, so I did not suffer a major coronary, and I got to see them this weekend. Double bonus.
Good news - my Hope can visit in March, and all three of my schools are on spring break at the same time! And it's my birthday that week (March 18, in case you want to plan ahead...)! I get spring break and Hope and turning 30, all in one week. Yay!

Date: 2005-01-19 04:06 pm (UTC)Other than the car drama, life is pretty good. Halfway through the first week of school, and I'm not even tired. This semester seems like it will be a breeze!

Date: 2005-01-19 09:28 am (UTC)Gah! I hate the Forgetting!
Some friends and I were on a trip through Illinois (god help us) and we were trying to remember the title of the movie about the little British boy who became a ballet dancer. "Billy something, Billy something, Billy...Madison?"
And from then on, none of us could remember BILLY ELLIOT until we were all home in our respective beds like 12 hours later. Oy.
