A-Kon etc.
Jun. 5th, 2008 03:47 am1. A-Kon was so much fun. We didn't get a lot of traffic, but we ran modules all day each day. I still managed to sneak down and run through the dealers' room. I saw a lot of people from the club there - never have seen some of them in the daylight before - that was a little jarring but cool. The costumes were amazing. And, of course, we were adorable. I may post pictures later.
2. This week is the first week back to nights, and it is kicking my ass. I don't know why I am so tired all the time.
3. Life at Natalie's is ok. The dog is still not that big a fan of me, but she no longer growls when I walk into the room. OK, not every time. I have spent some time by the pool, and I am planning to spend more time there on Friday with Mel. The pool is nice, because it is hellishly hot here already. Carley is leaving Friday or Saturday to spend the summer with her dad, so Natalie will be missing her a lot. I'll miss her, too. She's pretty cool for a 13-year-old.
4. I have got to get back in the gym. This is my third week of hiatus. There's just no excuse for that.
5. I'm having a jewelry party (Lia Sophia) on the Saturday before Father's Day. My parents will also be in town that weekend. Their presence probably means that I won't be making the concert with My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult that Friday.
6. Honey Buns rule all. *sigh* Seriously - must see Gym.
7. Summer conferences are in full swing and make me tired. Already. It may be a long summer.
8. I had sushi last night for the first time in months. I forget how much I love sushi.
9. I am ecstatic in my attic about Obama's victory. I also have the Obamas' victory dap on my desktop, mainly to taunt the Republicans I work with, but also because it's awesome.
10. I have run out of things to type, but I felt the need to make the list an even 10. :)
