If they are too stupid to hand in their paper by 5:00pm on the button, you should feel free to leave the building without a wisp of a conscience. They were given warning, and they should heed it, they are after all in post-secondary education. As in, they should be able to do things without having their hands held. Five-years-old they are no longer. Late papers will only be accepted with valid medical excuses and a medical note from their physician. Yup, I'm a hard ass.

I stayed and talked to one of the night professors before I left, so I was there until about 5:45, but no later. I didn't lose any sleep.
