So why are we playing all Christmas music, all the time, already on at least one station in the metroplex? *check calendar* It's November 9, right? *is perplexed*

My school in Dallas rules. My department chair is currently in the process of moving her own spring schedule around to better accommodate mine. Neither of my other department chairs would even think of doing that. Also, since our night secretary (aka Guru of all things Clerical...*sigh* I miss Cristina) is on maternity leave, rather than leave the office without anyone to answer questions, our campus President filled in for her the other night. And that was after he had worked his own 8-hour day (and he is not a young man). I love my school. I wish I could work there more...and work other places less...

I suck at writing deadlines.

I am still sick, and I think it's getting worse.

That is all.

get thyself to a doctor, young lady! there are some nasty bugs going around, some of them quite serious. So tis better safe than sorry! *shoos coffee towards the doctor's office*

Sure. Do you think they'll accept a smile as payment? Unless I'm dying, no doctor for me. That $80 office visit plus whatever it will cost for the medicine that they'll give me has already been spent.

yep, that's what I thought, too, until I started coughing up blood :p then the $90 bill suddenly didn't seem all that expensive........ and they gave me samples so no prescription :p

Well, if I cough up blood, I guess I'll go. But I'm actually improving, so it was probably just a common cold.

good! I'm so glad you're feeling better :D I had been hoping mine was a simple cold, too, but no luck there :( There have been so many really nasty things going around here that waiting to see if its harmless can actually be quite dangerous right now--but general health seems to be improving so maybe we're beating the virulent bugs :)

WoW!

Gah! And in the stores here, all seasonal merchandise is Xmas already.

Kirkwood, a local city-within-our-city, already has lit holiday wreaths (complete with big red velvet bows) up on all the lightposts downtown.

Are you sure, my friend, that you and I aren't both erroneously thinking it's November when it is, in fact, December? No?

Which then bears the question:

Did we all forget Thanksgiving?

I don't want to be tired of Xmas before it gets here. *sulk*

*panics* It's highly possible that I slept right through Thanksgiving. I have been a little out of it lately.

I feel powerful. I took all the students with me. They still think it's November, too.

we noticed the other morning that the apartment complex across teh street already has their lights out. And last month, before Halloween, the local shopping center put their lights up. BEFORE HALLOWEEN! sheesh

Ugh. Now two of the stations on my settings are playing it. That's it - no more listening to old lady music for me. I'm taking up punk. They won't subject me to a holiday two months in advance.

That's one nice thing about being married--hubby and I tend to talk in the car so the radio is turned off so I don't have to listen to the holiday music hitting tow months in advance LOL
