I'm sure I'll forget something important from this weekend, but here are a few snippets of my memories:

- So glad it's moving next year. That drive through flatness and nothing is for the birds. But at least it was uneventful, thankfully. And, I am happy to report, I did not miss my exit and have to loop around Oklahoma City this year. One hour gained!
- Pizza and equally yummy videos ensued Friday night.
- Saturday was shopping (or non-shopping, in my case, even though I initially voted for it) on the Plaza day. Most of us just watched King Arthur. Heh, heh. Lancelot and Arthur sooo love each other. I didn't even have to look for the slashiness.
- Mmmm...Italian food. We harrassed the waiter who, I have to admit, did start to look more and more like Gilbert Gottfried the more I looked at him. But he was great. We liked him a lot. We also liked the food, because we ate until we were tired. And I am forever indebted to [livejournal.com profile] aelora for introducing me to the wonder that is a Midori sour. Where has this drink been all my adult life? How have I missed it? Mmm...melon.
- We saw Life of Brian in a theater in an abandoned shopping mall. The room/screen wasn't much (if any) bigger than the one at the house, but we coped.
- Donnie Darko. That's all I'm sayin' (mainly because if I say more, The Glory That Is Jake Gyllenhaal will take over my brain and render me unable to function, and I really do have to work later today).
- Michael Rosenbaum pictionary! Great pictures of Christopher Walken and Zero. Classic.
- Mmm...custom omelettes and deep-fried balls/sticks of cheese...*gurgles* Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] syasnomis!
- Semi-tipsy re-enactment of scenes from Smallville and Urban Legend. The best was the operatic Clex scene performed by [livejournal.com profile] chicklet73 and [livejournal.com profile] icalynn. Best. Scene. Ever.

There's so much more, but I'm in a bit of a daze. In fact, I've been moderately dazed (at least outwardly) since I found out that I got the apartment (townhome - whatever). My mind has been in overdrive, trying to decide how to organize the packing/moving process and the general giddiness of getting the hell out of where I am now. I find myself saying things like "Damn ugly building" and "cranky manager" and "jeez, it's hot in here in the afternoon" with a smile, because I know that the time I have to put up with those things is drawing to an end. Ah, bliss.

Monday, after [livejournal.com profile] ravenluvslex and I drove to the casa, we went to see Tammy and Michelle, watched a movie (the name of which is currently escaping me) while eating, and crashed.

Tuesday, we went with Karla to VS, because she got a promotion that let her and six friends get a free pair of panties. Score! Free stuff! Then we went to see Spiderman 2 (I liked it as much as the first - which I really liked - but not more, as pretty much everyone else I've talked to about it has said). Then we ventured to the square to Beth Marie's - ice cream shop, because we just didn't get enough dairy this weekend - and Recycled Books. After a while in the bookstore (time stands still in a bookstore, right?), we went back to Tammy and Michelle's to watch The Amazing Race (I'm so glad those two got eliminated. They annoyed me).

And so there you have it. Now, I'm sitting in my new..er office, wasting time, having completed my work much earlier than I anticipated. Summer II classes start today.

Just can't help but notice....do you find it interesting in the least that both halfs of our brain are currently pre-occupied with thoughts and plans and schemes for moving? Oh yeah and I'm already thinking of all the better things at the new place too...like **no more damn speed bumps**

That is strange. We do have a remarkable tendency to have life changes together. Even down to the no speed bumps. Well, I have one, but I've never had to go over it because my car astrides the bumps perfectly.

One pair between the six of you? Isn't that a little unhygienic?
