Today starts the second week off that I have before summer classes start. Then I'll have two morning classes and two night classes for June and two night classes for July/August. Four times a week, eight hours of class a day. What am I doing here? I should be sleeping, saving up for all the sleeping I won't be doing in June.

I've been planning to get my oil changed since last Monday. Ask me if I've done it yet. Ah, slothdom, my old friend.

One thing I have accomplished is staying on my workout schedule. Funny how not having any excuses about time does that.

I also joined the new MRMB this morning. I like it better than the old board. Much more user friendly.

I'm going to the library later. I'm going to join [livejournal.com profile] wingsonwind in her light summer reading (lol) list. So if I seem angrier or more political than usual this summer, think nothing of it. It just means I'm happy. :)

I've had a good week, but not much to report. I haven't been online much, so if I didn't reply to something I normally would have, I'm not ignoring you - I'm being lazy.

Tammy's home, so I guess I should talk to the ftf person now.

Light summer reading? Shall I join you? I just picked up a copy of "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu...

You know, I think that's on my other reading list... I am working my way through three of them this summer.

yeah - check out her reading list to prepare her for the intro to feminist theory course she's taking in the fall. It's in the comments to one of her lj posts - I'd link, but I'm lazy.

I ordered most of those books last week. I have one in my possession right now -- Gender Trouble, by Butler. Maybe start with the first one on the list?

Check! Tong should be pretty easy to track down - I think it's in the comm library at UNT, even.

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I'll let you know when it does.

What do you think -- should I take that fourth class in feminist pedagogy or not? I signed up for it, but now I can't make up my mind whether or not to keep it.

Four classes is quite a load. I only tried it one semester. But I made it, so maybe go for it.

I guess I am still on the fence about the hurrying up/taking my time thing. I am so indecisive most of the time...

Sounds Good!

The end of the semester nearly killed me. Or I nearly killed someone. Potato, patata, right?

Non-school life is very nice and peaceful right now. Charmed, even. I'm enjoying it immensely. Nothing special to mention - just peaceful.

all this talk of school and reading lists makes me feel guilty. I was quite good for a while there--read something from the list every day for at least half an hour. but then started reading the Searchers and bye-bye history book.......
