Ask me if I've turned my grades in yet. Ask me how many hours *looks at clock and murmurs "crap!"* - correct that - hour - I have to finish.

But here I am anyway. You're more important than my job, right?

Hey - I stole this from everyone. Do this.

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

I'm like running out of strange and interesting facts here... Ummmm...

I'm terrified of fire. I think it started back when I was little and a friend of ours in the neighborhood had their house burn down during the holidays thanks to their Christmas tree. They weren't able to get their cat out in time. :( Then, like two days later, the Eight is Enough ep where their house burned down aired. After that, I was traumatized. To this day I have issues lighting matches and I check the outlets in the house during Christmas like some kind of phobia!

I understand that. Almost every night I have to get up and re-check everything to make sure I've turned it all off...just in case. I'm a basket case around Christmas when I put all the candles out and actually use them. Quite the obsessive/compulsive little ritual I have carved out for myself.

Wonder if I should jump on this, as I feel a bit tapped out. But anyway... I eat grapefruit like oranges--peel them down, you know?

I am my older brother's personal shopper. He can't shop worth a damn without me.

I am allergic to far too many foods and I hate that.

I'd love to work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Consulates and Embassies, but I'm afraid to get sent to Uzbekistan and get my ass shot off. Plus I kinda don't want to get the assignments that suck. You know, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc..

I don't want you to get your ass shot off either! You stay! But that would be an interesting job, and you'd be good at it.

I sometimes have terrible daydreams. Like when driving over a bridge (which scares me, especially when it's not me behind the wheel), I'll imagine the car sailing over the side, or the bridge collapsing as they have been known to do during a major earthquake. I see/hear/feel everything vividly for a moment, and it leaves me rattled.

That must be scary. I've imagined driving off a bridge before. One of those split second "what if I..." things. The passengers do not appreciate it when I share these thoughts with them, though.

My death phobia is dying in a car accident. When I was in oh, the fourth grade or so, my parents took me to the art festival at the high school (I had a couple of things on exhibit and had won some blue ribbons so we went to have a look). Not too long before that, there had been a fatal car accident and the parents of the driver had let the car be taken to the high school grounds so people could see what could happen to teens driving dangerously. My parents took me over to see the car (it was outside, by a tree) and I have this vivid memory of seeing the car all smashed up and feeling the sun warm on my face and back and feeling a slight breeze kick up. And the wind was making the pages of a math textbook flutter and the book was just covered in dried blood. I just cannot get that image of the math books pages stained brown fluttering in the wind out of my head. And ever since, I've feared dying in a car accident.

What a weird, scary thing to do to kids. Grown ups are morbid sometimes about "getting messages across."

If I come down to visit, maybe you don't want to ride with me...I'm a Dallas driver.

LOL--I keep hearing about these crazy Texas drivers. And, yes, while some of their driving practices may be a bit..........unorthodox, it really doesn't compare to what I'm used to driving through the Detroit area LOL. Or Chicago :p. And after living through driving with my dad for all these years, not much can phase me :D

Ah, yes. The Chicago driving. I recall the feelings of terror. :) But once I got used to it, I didn't mind it.

I dont' mind Chicago traffic. As long as I'm driving LOL. Last time I was in Chicago, my friend Sarah was driving and we nearly got hit by a bus. On my side of the car :

I was once stranded at truck stop called Stucky's wich sold massive amount of pecan pies, pecan rolls, and anything else made with pecans. It sucked cause I don't like pecans, but I did get a prickly pear flavored milk shake.

My feet are cold.

*hands raven a pair of socks*

Lots of pecans, huh? Was it in West Texas? Because that's all that will grow out there. That and cotton.

I'm almost afraid to ask - prickly pear milkshake? What's that about?

Prickly pear cactus. They claimed that they actualy picked the fruit from the cactus and used it in the drink, but I think it was just Strawberry with Kiwi or something in it. We were in New Mexico I beleive.
