Of all the beautiful Victoria's Secret models out there, why must they choose the one I like the least to grace the cover of their Christmas catalog (arguably, the most important catalog of the year)? She bugs me to no end. I think it's the look she gives the camera, like she's pissed off or annoyed or just not quite bright enough to understand that looking mean and looking sexy are not the same thing. I mean, Alessandra Ambrosio in a sweatshirt and jeans would make a more appealing cover.
Speaking of AA, her new haircut is growing on me. Beckoning me. Taunting me, actually. It's bad enough that she herself gives me that "see how cute" look from the pages of the catalog, practically forcing me to buy pajamas when, really, I know that I need yet another pair of pj's like I need a hole through the foot. But now her hair is speaking to me, too. It whispers, "Look how cute I am. Nice, simple, manageable shape. Wouldn't I look adorable on your head, too? You know this is the most flattering length on you. You know this would compliment the shape of your face nicely. You know you wanna...." Who knew hair could say so much?
It doesn't help that my own hair is being uncooperative. I admit that I'm spoiled. I have had good hair most of my life - naturally curly, thick but not too thick, not too coarse - very low maintenance. Even when I just got out of the shower, towel-dried it, and spritzed it with gel, it still looked ok. But lately, it has a mind of its own. I spray it. I mousse it. I even flat iron it and BedHead Control Freak it down, but the Beast will not be tamed. I have the biggest hair that I have ever had in my life, and I grew up in Texas in the 80's.
In completely unrelated news, Michael McKean (hope I got his name right - he's one of those actors that I recognize and say, "Hey! I like him!" but never really bothered to learn his name) was brilliant. Perry is the funniest guest appearance that they have ever had. He should come back and play sometime. My favorite part was when the tractor fell from the sky and he emptied out his flask. It just took me a second to recover from sight of the blatant alcohol abuse. So sad when good things go to waste.
I love Vexed!Lex. I want to marry him and have his angry, bitter, repressed children.
Keep the good eps coming, writers!
