The night, it is long

coffeesnob318Nights are really long at the desk when no one hangs around. Aw, I miss Blain.
Yesterday was a good day. I really like my business speech class - they seem nervous but interested in what we're doing. Of course, it was only the first day, so what can I really tell from that? But I like them so far.
Then I came back to the desk to watch the inauguration. There are no words. Well, other than the ones spoken at the ceremony. So yes. What they said. Especially Rev. Lowery.
Steve and I had lunch. Salad and beer - light yet sedating. It made falling asleep easy.
The night class was fun, also. They were a little quiet, but I think they will be more interactive as the semester goes on.
I also unpacked one box of glasses - the ones we are going to use for Mel's shower - and put togther a budget. I only freaked out a little bit. I love all the space that I have in the kitchen and that I'm going to have my own kitchen again. I am not loving having to pay all the bills. I also am finding that I tend to engage in hermit-like behavior when there's not anyone else at home. When I live with people, I make an effort to get out on a regular basis and let them have the house to themselves, because everyone requires some solitude, and I want to respect that. But when it's just me, I'm disturbingly comfortable being unsocial. I may need several of you to just randomly text me "Get your ass out of the house," every once in a while. So today, I'm feeling 2-1 in favor of finding a roommate. I'm sure that my indecisiveness on the issue would be especially exciting to any prospective roommate. Maybe I should just be medicated.
At least I have to leave the house now to watch TV. I knew my addiction had to have a good side. I am excited about the new Chuck, mad about Pushing Daisies getting canceled, enjoying Scrubs so far, and *cough*watching the bachelor don't judge me*cough*. What are you watching?

What am I watching... not sure, but last season.. Pushing Daisys, Heros, Desperate Housewives, Grays Anatomy, and Supernatural (yes- at the same time) NCIS, Dr Who, Bones. . . and i am sure many more... not much else to do when the house is mostly clean all the time. http://flylady.com/ has changed my life ;)
