If that phone rings one more time...
Oct. 15th, 2003 05:35 pmI may do something drastic. One can only listen to a phone ring so many times (we're at once every minute for the last 40 minutes now) before it starts to wear on the nerves. And you know it's the same idiot calling who didn't get an answer the first 39 times. What makes them think that this time will be any different?! It's a general office at a school in Texas. What do they think, that we can actually afford to staff general offices? The current legislature would never allow it - if they actually put people on campus, they might accidentally get educated, and they can't have that, because if everyone was educated, who would vote for them?
Yes, Virginia, that is a lot to get out of a little phone ringing...
Thanks to all of you who communicated concern over my news in my mom's email. He wasn't a close friend, but I had a tiny crush on him when I was in elementary school and he was a senior. His mom was one of my favorite teachers in jr. high.
And look at the pretty new picture that I got from
ladylynx!!! It really fits my mood recently. Ah, autumn and her crazy mood swings.
Yes! The phone monger heard me...peace and quiet at last...

And yes. It's a lovely picture. (*sigh!*) I sometimes wish I had time to do such things, and give them out. I've received such pretty presents from lots of people. Well, I suppose I can rest on the laurels of the kits, but not forever. World, you will get "back" from me, just not in the way you'd imagine. :)
