First of all, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ringsandcoffee for the CD! Really sweet, and I really like it!

The Thanksgiving was good. I ate, but not too much - we did the traditional food (turkey, stuffing, etc.), and I'm not that big a fan. I did eat a lot of turkey sandwiches. For some reason, I just couldn't get enough of that.

And that horrible canned cranberry sauce (the one that retains the shape of the can). I love that stuff. It's so wrong, but so good.

I knitted up a storm (for me, anyway). I think I have a knitting callous. I made two scarf/hat combos for the custodians at work. I also finished Raven's scarf and started Micah's. I called Margat to measure them to see how long to make them, and as a result, got to talk to Margat and Jeff for a little bit until my phone remembered that it was roaming and freaked out and hung up on them. It was good while it lasted.

Heh. My sister also made a scarf. She didn't want to learn, but I had projects already in mind, so I got her started, taught her the basic stitch, and tied her off when she was through. She did pretty well, and she's really proud of it. My favorite part of the day was when she stopped, frowned, and said, "I think I added a few stitches." I looked at what she'd done, and although I had started her at 12, she now had 25. I laughed and laughed and tried to fix it, but she ended up starting over. She was pretty good-natured about it and started over, undaunted. Way to get right back up on that horse, Bock!

NaNoWriMo is going ok. I didn't write over Thanksgiving, but I figured that I wouldn't and didn't include it in my timetable, so I'm not too far behind. I'm a little stuck, but hoping to unstick myself by just not giving a damn. That's the plan. I must say that I'm enjoying the insanity. They say that killing off a character who is annoying you is cathartic. They are right. I had a character who was being a real dick. He needed killin'. I understand the power that my mom felt when she invoked the "I brought you into this world - I can take you out of it" threat. Because I said that. To the fictional character. Out loud. And then I did it. And cackled. It was glorious.

Not much else going on. Writing, knitting, eating, drinking coffee. Oh, and working. I suppose I'm working.

I knitted up a storm Yay for you! I used to knit when I was younger (my grandmother taught me actually), but I'm pretty sure I forgot it all by now. And this: started her at 12, she now had 25 takes some special skills. :D

"I brought you into this world - I can take you out of it" threat. Because I said that. To the fictional character. Out loud. Funny. You must be having lots of fun with this. :)
