End of the month - beginning of the next month - it's all the same, right?
Here are my Resolutions in Review:
A. Running - I could fudge it and say that I run a mile...but the mile is collective. I'm actually up to 3/4 mile at once, which is about where I was a month ago. BUT! I don't feel like I want to die afterwards. AND!! My pants are quite loose. I'm going to be down a size by the end of the month. True, that's not the goal, but it's a nice bonus.
B. Reading - Last month left us at four:
1. The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning
2. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
3. Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality by Donald Miller
4. Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen
This month, I add two:
5. Yeah, I said it by Wanda Sykes - Hilarious. If you like her standup (and if you don't...well, you should), you'll love the book.
6. Found in Translation by Kim Moor - This is a rough draft of my friend's novel that she wrote for NaNoWriMo last November. It was really good for having been written in a month. Actually, if she just adds some more details and character development in the first of the novel, she could publish that puppy. That would be exciting. As an added bonus, she compared the main male character to Dr. Who, and, although I know she was referring to the old series, I was so picturing David Tennant the whole way through. Yep. Crushing a bit on the main character.
C. Car - Not much to update. Still making payments. Still going to be finished doing so by the end of the year. Yay!
Note to self: No matter how good those Clementine oranges are, do not eat twelve of them with nothing else in your stomach. If you do, do not be surprised when your stomach begins to feel as if it's eating itself.

Date: 2006-03-06 03:46 pm (UTC)You rock with the running. I'm so impressed and you're going down a size - so jealous. Not jealous enough to get my lazy butt up, but oh well.
Rock on!
Hugs, Hope

Date: 2006-03-07 06:34 am (UTC)Blue Like Jazz is one of my favorite books ever. If you liked that, you might like Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. I'm working through it. It's pretty intense. I like intense, though.

Where am I? What is this place? What's happening?
I could ask if she's feeling brave enough to share the book with more people. I think you'd like it, if for no other reason than imagining the good doctor as the main character.
