Pity

I pity the fool who used the last coffee filter. Kyle went over to West to get me some more. But I had a very anxious moment when I couldn't find any. So much coffee...so little preparation apparati. I suppose I could have used the french press, but it's not here either. And it's not clean when it is here. And we're out of soap.

But crisis has been averted. So no mass destruction tonight. I may threaten Adam tomorrow with a throat sawing, but that's mostly for my amusement.

My bed was seriously calling me tonight before I left home. "Stay here...lie down...just for a little bit...you'll wake up in plenty of time." So tired. It may be a long night.

That's all for now. I may get inspired later.

Thanks! If I can't be caffeinated, at least I can channel it into entertainment.

they didnt' leave you filters, eh? Now that's taking a serious risk with the whole breathing thing--the wrath of coffee-deprived coffee is no simple thing........

Yeah. Kyle looked a little scared for a moment. I guess I had that wild look in my eyes. He agreed pretty readily to go borrow some from West, even though he was already in pajamas.

OH MY GOD

You are not saying you almost had to go WITHOUT coffee.

Almost. It was a close one. Two people suggested that I use a used filter [wtf?], and, although I reacted with the expected horror, I have to admit - I considered it. Being faced with a coffeeless existence does strange things to reason.

I have heard of such things happening. In fact, I think Alton Brown may have suggested that, in dire emergencies, toilet paper could be used.

Or was it paper towels? In any case, it was shocking.

God, I hope it was paper towels. I'm not into lint in my coffee.

Aw. That makes me want to watch the coffee episode again.

Actually, me too. Especially since he uses the word "quasi-somnambulant" in it. I just love that madly.

It must have been paper towels. Toilet paper just seems so...disrespectful of The Beans.
