Ice machine in the desert
Jan. 27th, 2006 05:51 amOur ice machine sounds really scary right now. It's...moaning. I feel like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone, where the furnace seemed out to get him. Spooky.
This building is weird. I was burning up when I got here. Now, I'm dragging out the blanket.
Also, I feel like crap. *coughs* But at least I have an excuse for giving myself a Claritin high.
Katy said that Rob Gomez is a) back in town and b) played for $5 somewhere last night. And we were working and missed it. Sad.
*jumps* Seriously, something must be done about that machine.
I realize this entry seems a little haphazard. I'm rambling until I remember the Really Good Reason that I had to make an entry. You know, other than random bitching.
*ponders*
I met with CT2 tonight to discuss Blue Like Jazz. They're hosting a monthly book discussion. There were only three of us, but that just meant I got to talk more, so I enjoyed it. I look forward to next month.
I need to go salsa dancing (not random - thinking of Rob G makes me flashback to salsa dancing with Tybaldt and Margat. Plus, I'm listening to excerpts from his Latin Pimps CD off his website - http://basementfront.com/robg/index.html ). I haven't been salsa dancing in a really long time.
*light bulb*

5 weird things (only 5?) about me:
1. I not only name but also assign personality characteristics to inanimate objects. It started with stuffed animals, but now it's extended to scarves, purses, and one brass eagle statue (although, to be fair, Adam named the statue Kevin long before I got here).
2. I consider myself an even-tempered person, but all of that flies right out the window when I drive. The littlest inconvenience sends me into a frenzy. I fear that one day I will be arrested for going postal because some poor fool left his/her blinker on too long.
3. I can't leave crumbs on a plate.
4. I shower multiple times a day. It's quite possible that I'm single-handedly responsible for the draught we just had.
5. The smell of cooking meat grosses me out.
I should file those work orders. Those residents would probably like their toilets to be fixed before the weekend comes.

Date: 2006-02-01 06:48 pm (UTC)When is the blue like jazz group? I started reading it last night.
My Mom, Todd, and Granny all have to come to CF w/ us some time, but the same week cause that would be exhausting.
I asked Nice about the whole tithe by credit card thing and he said that his idea was to have a Church Pay-Pal account and a link on the website. Thsi seems most economic becuase Pay Pal only wants like 1.5% of what is payed through them. But Bib has one of those little machines that you slide the cards through for a pos thing. she is checking inot how much it all cost her and how mcuh the company she went through charged. She is not willing to donate her hardware to CF but she said she'd sell i to me cheap.
*hugs* feel better
