That's what the little kid sitting behind me gushed when Aslan appeared on the screen for the first time during The Chronicles of Narnia. So cute.

This, by the way, is the best movie that I've seen all year. Go now and watch it. I'm going back on Friday night to see it again.

Look at me, pointedly not commenting on Lexmas. I'm not sure exactly what I thought of it, other than "pretty...*gurgles*"

Tomorrow night is the last night of classes. If I were smart, I'd be doing grades right now, but I'm not...so I'm not. If that makes any sense.

We had a good staff meeting last night. It was the last one of the semester. *thinks* Yeah. That's all I have to say about that.

Saturday was our second session of our Damaris Salon. It's going very well. The women are excited and into it and very interested in discussion. They even decided that they couldn't wait until January 7th to meet again, so we are having dinner the Thursday before New Years to have our next session. Guess who's in charge of the wine...

*sips coffee; spews it forth* Oh. My. *expletive* That was extraordinarily bad. That pot was on its last legs anyway, but now it's cold, too. *shudders*

Oh! The students/staff were so awesome to me Friday night. When I came in, there was a herd of them in the lobby and a banner plastered behind the desk that read, "Celebrate Suzanne-a-Thon" with lots of signatures surrounding it. They made me a sign and kept me company all night. Well, two of them kept me company all night - Maggie and [livejournal.com profile] spizz813. I felt special. As a result of their influence, however, I now have a facebook...which, apparently, lj won't let me directly link to. The page I get keeps telling me I have to log in to view it. Huh. I guess you have to have a facebook to see a facebook. I guess you'll just have to believe that I do. :) Anyway, I had to eat my words about facebook being stupid, because there I am, on facebook. I still don't really get the point of it - do you just collect people? Anyway. There you go. I have one. I am a sheep. Baa.

The weekend was good. I meant to sleep more than I actually did, though. Oh well.

Today was my church's first time meeting in the new place. Pretty sweet. And the restaurant next door made us a Mexican buffet that was soooo goood. *salivates*

*looks at clock* Wow. It is so not 8:00 yet. *yawns* I'd work on grades, but I fear that would put me to sleep. Perhaps I'll knit.

Oh I'm so glad Narnia was good, but really how could it not have been. I'm going to see it Sunday w/ the youth after the party after the play.

I have again been warned not to see Jarhead. Sadly this only make me want to see it even moore. I just found out that he movie theatre in Irving has $4 movies all day tues and they give free popcorn. This is totally worth the gas.

What's a Damaris Salon? Yay new building and buffet. I must come see it. When do you go back to school?

Maybe we see Jarhead together. Maybe we don't invite anyone else. Maybe it will be our little secret.

Maybe I'm a bad influence.

I really don't remember there being much bad about it. There was a lot of cussing and brief, glorious moments of nudity. OK. Many brief, glorious moments of nudity. And it's about war, so of course there's violence.

I suppose it earns its R rating, after all. But *points* it does it so well.

The Damaris Project is a group that meets to discuss issues of women, spirituality and culture. We have readings each session and get together to discuss them. It gives women who are not generally reached by the traditional church setting a chance to talk about these things in a safe environment.

Plus, Kim and Bethany feed us, and that's cool. Free food rules.

I go back to school Monday. I'm teaching the holiday minimester because it's quick, easy money.

Yay women's issues and free food!

Nay minimester does not sounf fun but cheap easy money is generaly worth it.

I soooooo want to see Chronicles. Right now. but then again, I am still a bit hesitant--Jack hated the thought of any of them being made into television/movie or radio. but I'll see it anyways :p

and yay! on the new location! I'll have to come visit on a Sunday just so I can see the new digs :) Although the squirrel chasing cat will be missed.......

The Narnia was great. We're going to see it again on Friday.

You should come some Sunday! That would be fun.
