What time of day is it, again? This night shift work is so confusing.

I just read the greatest thing ever. There was a blurb in the Dallas Morning News' Quick that defines "crutch crush." It's anyone whom you have a crush on/look forward to seeing, but wouldn't actually consider dating. It can be the guy at the movie theater, someone in a class, someone you work with *cough*PinchProf*cough*, etc. Maybe I'm not fickle. Maybe I just have crutch crushes. Heh. Why doesn't that sound better than "fickle?"

The CDC says that there's "no need to fear chicken." I don't know. That chicken in the picture looks a bit scary. It'd just as soon peck me as look at me.

OK. I know that it's wrong that the new James Bond is blond. But look at him! Pretty. I think I'll bring Tomb Raider to work tomorrow.

In other news, the students did demonstrative speeches today (yesterday...whatever). I love it when they start their speech, "I'm going to have to bullshit my way through this, but..."

Uh, perhaps telling us that you are attempting to mislead or deceive is not the best choice if you actually would like to succeed in doing so. Just a thought. I think I'm going to have to start giving my "if you're going to try to fake it through my class, at least have the decency to be good at it" spiel again.

At one of my old jobs there used to be a rooster that attacked me every morning, leaving little holes in my legs. Although I love them...both alive and dead...I also fear the chicken. :) *throws arms over head to protect self from chickens*

They do have sharp beaks. Thank you. The people think I'm crazy for being afraid of chickens. Now, there are many reasons one might call me crazy, but my fear of chickens isn't one of them.
