coffeesnob318....I engage in a new Strangest Thing I've Ever Done to express my appreciation for the Wonder that is Michael Rosenbaum. I thought I was approaching new territory with RosenCon, particularly when I joined in the singing of "Happy Birthday" to a cake with his face on it. But after a while, this and other related behaviors started to seem almost normal.
Then, last night, I went to drink and karaoke with gradeafan, sinisterf, Margat, and Yvonne. And who should walk into the bar but someone who looks incredibly similar to MR!!! Now, the old me would have just looked and said, "Hmm. That's cute how he looks like that guy that plays Lex." But the newer, fangirl me squealed (not loudly, but very girly) and nodded enthusiastically when someone (I forget who) suggested that we ask him to pose for a picture with us.
You know. As if he actually was MR.
G approached him (via the girl he was with, lest she get territorial), and he agreed to do it. He was a great sport, especially since we told him that the picture would eventually show up somewhere online. Then he went away. Quickly. To the other side of the bar. Bless his heart. Damn, he was pretty.
We had a really good time together, between drinks and conversations about everything from the great HairNay/HairYay debate to the frustration of finding an acceptable hairdresser, interspersed with the frequent Karaoke-turned-piano-bar belting out of almost every song anyone else sang.
Later, we sang the theme song to Smallville, securing firmly our reputation as fans. I forget that I don't actually know all the words to the verses of Save Me. And that screen was pretty hard to see. And yet I sang. Add another notch to my fangirl belt.
I'm not sure if MockPretty was still there when we sang, but he didn't stick around for long. I choose to believe that it's because that girl he was with wasn't paying much attention to him. He looked lonely. I know 5 women across the room who would have been happy to keep him entertained.
All in all, great night out.

At least we weren't drunk enough to actually approach that table and scerenede him directly...
