Just popping in for a bit. I scanned 7 friends pages - I wish I had time for more. If I missed something that you know I really must see, direct me to it in the comments. Otherwise, maybe I should prepare for class a little. It's nice when the teacher shows up prepared.

What's been going on (in no particular order):

1. Teaching. Until the end of time, it seems. July 1 is so far away, and the sun is still so very wrong.
2. Margat and Micah may be moving in some time this month or next.
3. I. Broke. My. French. Press. What is a girl to do? I know, I know - quit her bitching and go to Target to get another.
4. I already have students from Summer II emailing me about class. *tempted to run away...far, far away*
5. Got sick yesterday. Feel better today.
6. Had a girl's night in on Friday with all the women from my church. We cut hair (mine is now a good two inches shorter), did pedicures, made pizza, etc. Fun was had by all.
7. What day is it?
8. My cousin's getting suddenly married on the 25th. That was abrupt.
9. I need to call TJ back, but my phone is out of juice, so I'll have to wait until it charges.
10. Is Father's Day this weekend or next? This weekend works out best for me, so if it's not, can we move it, please?

There's probably more, but I'm at the end. That made no sense. Maybe I should have warned you that this post would be better if you drank heavily before reading.

Speaking of drinking, I've always wanted to know what would go into a coffeesnob. Oddly enough....there's no coffee...
How to make a coffeesnob
Ingredients:

5 parts success

5 parts silliness

1 part energy
Method:
Combine in a tall glass half filled with crushed ice. Add a little curiosity if desired!

News bulletin:

To the dismay of many, Father's Day was moved to THIS weekend at the request of a girl calling herself "coffeesnob". More to come at six o'clock.

Heh, heh. My confusion was a conspiracy by The Dad to get more presents.

1. I supposedly start June 28.

3. Better Target than Wal-mart.

4. How rude.

5. Been sick. Still am.

6. Cool!

7. Wednesday?

8. A least you got a little more warning than [livejournal.com profile] nonnierms gave us.

10. This, and good luck with getting your request. :)

Better Target than Wal-mart

Yes. What you said. I try not to go to Walmart unless it's absolutely necessary. I recently got a gift card, and I drove to the Walmart in the next town because the one in Denton is so nasty.

There was a time in my life when [livejournal.com profile] nonnierms and I would wander through Wal-marts at all hours of the night just to get out of the house. Now, I only go to get the bottled water I like since they're the only store around here to carry it.

*chuckles* I was gonna say hey, she gave you over a week's notice--that's plenty! I got married two days after getting engaged :p

LOL

And you didn't even tell us you got engaged!

sure I did--the engagement was implied in the "hey, I got married" announcement.

;-)

heh, heh. I thought about you, actually, when I received the invitation from him. But it's a big drama in the family, and they do love a big drama. Everyone's wondering why they "have" to get married all of a sudden, and no one wants to hear my crazy notions about "um...maybe they love each other and are just that sure about it." Grandma's already asking when they are going to get around to giving her some great-grandchildren (I guess we all know what she wants for Christmas), followed by suspicious looks from aunts that say she might get her wish. Apparently that's what makes for a scandal in our clan.

It's all pretty silly. I think my family is the reason I shy away from relationship drama. I've had enough to last a lifetime, thanks.

Gah! Quelle horreur! Get thee to the nearest store and remedy this! (Or hop a plane and get up here and I'll make you some brew using mine.)

How very fitting that "energy" is one of the ingredients for a coffeesnob cocktail. *g*

July 1 is less than a fortnight away. Hang on, dear friend - the end is in sight!

I tried the regular coffee pot this morning...just wasn't the same. And Target will be closed by the time I get off work. *cries* But tomorrow...no work...so my need can be fulfilled.

See, if it had just held on a couple more weeks, I could have gone immediately to get a new one...stupid job...

*kicks job*

Jobs have no right to interfere with the proper coffeemaking process.
