New shoes make the world go 'round

I had the greatest day yesterday. Margat and Micah came up to Denton to spend the day, and we went shopping. They trailed me around the new DSW - the one I'm not allowed to go to unsupervised - and watched me try on a lot of shoes. I had planned to only buy one pair of black sandals. I ended up buying four pair, but in my defense, two were on sale, and I really did need new running shoes.

Then we went to Barnes and Noble for a little while - stayed mostly in the music. Micah has me wrapped around his pinkie finger. His favorite color is red, so I picked up a Clifford beanie dog and was barking at him - anything for a laugh - and he loved it so much that I bought it for him. Couldn't help it. When the pictures come out, you'll see how big those eyes can get. Irresistable. Did I mention that I'd already given him a toy earlier in the day? No? Conveniently left that out, did I? *slinks away, because it's hard to walk upright without a spine*

Then we dropped by Recycled Books because they have better prices on Brave Combo stuff, and went to have Chopsticks. Went home; ate; had to go to school so they went home. Fun!

Then I get to work, and there's all this stuff about Creation Con to catch up on. Shoes and MR stories?!? Just doesn't get better than that.

*drool* I miss DSW shoes right now. It's about time to replace my Sketchers sandals with the one-inch-thick sole that make me look taller. (Deluded, I know). I dragged poor Nonnie into one of those before we left OH. I think the closest one to here is what, oh, THREE HOURS!? *grumbling about the boonies under her breath...*

You know....if you visit Denton...I have one within 5 minutes of my apartment.... :)

I have to warn you though - I'm dangerous to shop with. People buy all sorts of things that they didn't intend to buy, because I helped them justify it.

Well, if I do indeed move my bro to Arlington or wherever he ends up, then that just might happen. :)

And you know what? People have the same problem when they go shopping with me. I wonder if we would cancel each other out or make it worse?

Yeah. I could live there, but I'm pretty sure they'd call the cops when closing time rolled around and I didn't leave.
