Dear Ms. (or Mr.) Manners
Dec. 3rd, 2003 01:27 pmQuestion for you gurus of lj etiquette - if I want to friend someone, should I just do it or is there an expected protocol to follow? Should I say, "Hey, I'm friending you" with an explanation of why? All the ones currently on my list, I've either met in person, or saw them in someone else's journal and recognized the screenname, or added them because they friended me first. But what about people whom I don't know (and don't know me) who share the same interests or just seem like cool people - what's the method there?
Or am I just a paranoid freak who's overthinking this and should get out of the house more often? It's not that I'm shy; it's just...well, actually, I guess I am a little shy. Who knew?
Thoughts? Musings? Peaceful uprisings?
And, in somewhat related news, yea!
preciouslilme is on lj! I added you back. And I finally added
graysong, and just a shade under five months after meeting her, too. I'm a little slow.
Anyway. I've gotten a whole lot done today. Even finished my syllabus for the holiday mini-mester (yes, I'm teaching during the holidays - what else do I have to do?). My eyes are starting to cross from sitting at the computer all day, though. Maybe I should eat something.
