job and rest and a fairly stupid dog

I applied for a job at the dorm at another school, but I haven't heard from them. I'm going to call this afternoon, just to see where they are in their decision process, but since the dorm opens next week, it doesn't look promising.

Yesterday, Mel and I lounged by the pool. It was short, because I was going to Jeff and Shelly's later, but it was glorious. We may do it again today, since the saltwater pool (i.e., the one whose landscaping mulch does not make the whole area smell like rotting garbage) is open. Yay!

Then I went to Jeff and Shelly's, where we talked about the Sabbath and what it means to rest. Then we went on a walk that lasted the better part of an hour. :)

Basically Stupid Dog

Well, you have it - the basically stupid dog. A few bad behaviors, but otherwise a solid pet. Walk her regularly, and give her lots of attention.


I wasn'tsure about some of them. I also wasn't sure how some of those questions determined if the dog was stupid. Marbles is crazy . .. but a great pet and a very smart dog. My family has always had very smart dogs.

I tried to test my dad's dog, but the Quiz seems to assume that your dog spends time inside the house, which ours doesn't. I don't think Moira's stupid, but I doubt she's as smart as they said. Oh, well.
