It's definitely March in Texas. Two days ago, it was 80 degrees outside. Yesterday, it snowed. It started right as I was going to class, and three hours later, there was a good four-inch coat of it on my car. No ice in Denton, really (which is weird for us - we usually skip snow entirely and go straight to ice), but quite a bit of snow. My hands were numb with cold by the time I finished brushing the worst of it off so that I could drive, but it was pretty. And today, it was nice out again. A little cool, but nice. Maggie and I took a walk, and I didn't even take a jacket. On the way home, we saw what was left of a snowman outside someone's apartment, holding a pack of cigarettes in his twig hand. Ah, Denton.

Well, I voted. The energy in the place was high. Most Democratic primaries in Texas are sparse, but there had apparently been a steady stream all day, because the volunteers were excited! They were so happy that so many young people were showing up. It was a really fun experience. I was so pumped up by the time I left that I couldn't go right to sleep for the day (hence the walk later), and I ended up sleeping through the caucus, so I only got to vote once (you know, like the rest of the country). But I did vote.

I just read Insecure at Last by Eve Ensler. This is one of my most favorite books ever. I'm going to have to buy it, because I want to read it over and over again. And I have got to get to New Orleans for V10. Must! *plots*
