Of wine and novelettes...
Dec. 10th, 2007 02:04 amI read my NaNo novelette Friday night. It doesn't completely suck! I am very excited. It needs heaps more character development, and if I decide to edit, it may be twice as long by the time I'm finished because it's very choppy in places. But it doesn't totally blow!

I am oddly indifferent to the end of the semester this week. I may feel differently when I hand grades in. That's always exciting. I'm going to miss the kids at the dorm.
I also think I'm going to extend vacation this year. I'm not teaching the holiday mini-mester (first time in forever), so my break is going to be a real break. Very exciting stuff. If I just use three vacation days, that will give me two full weeks of vacation before we have to prepare for the kids to return to the dorm.

karyn5101969 for the books! I'm in a Douglas Coupland mood these days, and now I have two more to choose from! Yay!
I also got another Christmas card, but since I spent part of Saturday taking all of last year's cards down (I know...don't judge me), my mind is filled with the good wishes of yesteryear, and I can't remember if the new card I got was from the person I think it was or if it was just a memory from last year. So if you sent a card recently, insert generic thanks here. I will check and thank you properly later when I'm more lucid.
I'm also sending out cards later this week. Maybe you'll actually get them by the end of the year. If you want a card and you missed the poll, it's...around here somewhere. I haven't posted a lot this season, so you shouldn't have to scroll much, but you will have to scroll because... *points at self* lazy.
