Or, were it more aptly named - Sleet and Black Ice Day! Woo! It doesn't really snow in Texas; its skips right to the hazardous stuff.
But it will shut UNT down until it thaws (which, in my amateur opinion, will be this morning). But in the meantime, the kids are cute. They're all excited about getting a little time off. There is rampant sledding down anything that resembles a slope. There are board games aplenty being played. And I had company until 4:30 this morning because they don't have to go to class this morning, as the school is closed until noon. Yay! Fun!
Cheryl was my Secret Santa. She got me one of those travel mugs that you put pictures in, and she put pictures of the RAs and Mel and Winfred at their banquet (the one where they dressed up in togas) plus one penguin (the penguin was what gave her away) in it, complete with captions. And to top it off, she filled it with Equal Exchange Columbian coffee beans. And the wrapping was really cute. It's pretty much the most awesome gift ever.
Knitting update: the scarf is coming along nicely. It keeps getting wider. I'm not exactly sure how it's doing that, but at least it's not shrinking?
Adam (day desk clerk) has been sick most of the week. Poor Adam. I hope he feels better soon. Especially now that I have new coffee to share. He's missing out.
