I am sitting at the desk at my new job. Third day, and I have been left in charge of the building for the afternoon. *maniacal very responsible laugh* However, I don't know many answers to many questions, so I'm pretty useless should anyone call. But I'm very friendly and a bit too eager to talk to them because I'm very alone in this building.

I've caught up with a bit of lj, but I think I'm just going to do my usual slacker thing of asking what you have been up to since we chatted last. So...how are you?

Ooh! Phone ringing! Oh. Wrong number. And he sounded frightened.

I am working on a massive "What I Did on My Summer Vacation"/books post. I'm sure you're sitting on the edge of your seat.

Ooh! Phone! Ah...I'm so smart. I could answer those questions. Until they asked about the coffee pot. Hmmm...it's not a hot plate, but most of them do have a hot surface...have to get back to her on that. I suppose it would not be acceptable for the front desk person to tell her that she should just sneak it in. She'd probably be mad if her coffee pot got confiscated because I fed her false information. I'd be mad...so she'll have to call back if she wants a real answer.

Perhaps it's a wee bit early in my employment to leave me alone in the building. *ponders*
