Where do I begin?

coffeesnob318I guess it all depends on where I left off. Which I don't remember. I'm quiet these days, so we'll see where this goes.
I have missed quite a bit. Including![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gradeafan's birthday. Sorry, friend. :( Let me know if there's anything else I missed.
Work is good. The students are doing ok with the speaking. The kids at the dorm are doing ok. I've got a group that likes to play spades, and they let me join, so that's cool.
Life is fine. I've been busy. I spent the first half of the month preparing to work a 3-day spiritual retreat, and I feel like I've spent the last half of this month recuperating from it. It was good, but it makes me tired.
The TV is good. Pushing Daisies and Chuck are my favorite new shoes this year. I'm also liking the Heroes and House. I'm enduring Smallville. I watch others, but those are the ones that I just don't miss.
The books are good. That's pretty much where I've been - buried in a book. And knitting. And playing spades with the kids.
I'm going to do NaNoWriMo again this year. I've started No Plot, No Problem, and it's hilarious. My main goal (besides actually finishing, of course) is not to reread and edit. That has been what killed me the last two years.
I am low on the motivation these days. For anything. It really shows up in my running (or, rather, lack thereof). If it doesn't end soon, it might curtail some of that writing, so I hope it ends soon. It might also explain the trouble sleeping and the lack of energy.
Tonight, I'm going to a party at Merilee and Peter's, and I'm going as Chuck the Disgruntled Unicorn. Chuck was inspired by Charlie the Unicorn (google him). The disgruntled part is my contribution.
