Wherein there is much squealing
Jan. 19th, 2007 03:15 amDisclaimer - What you are about to read is going to involve some fannish squealing about the Justice League and boys without shirts and slashy antics. But don't let the excitement fool you. It doesn't change that I love Lex. It doesn't change that I get why he does most of the things he does. It doesn't change that every person he's ever encountered who was affected by the meteor rocks has either stolen from him, betrayed him, possessed him, and/or tried to kill him, and that such experience probably leaves a person a little defensive and in need of gaining some control. It doesn't change that a certain Stupid Alien Freak (tm), whom he once trusted and who once trusted him, does nothing but shut him out and fling lies and accusations based on misinformation his way. It doesn't change that his own father would rather protect Clark than him. It doesn't change that, as far as he knows, nothing positive has ever happened as a result of being affected by kryptonite, and everyone he knows who could tell him otherwise can't be bothered to do so. It doesn't change that, if I were Lex and were privy only to the limited knowledge he has, I'd probably be doing the same thing - using all my power/resources to fight the worst evil I know.
Also, Lex is hot.
But...but...Justice League!!!! *squee* Happy. I love the interaction between the boys. I love to watch them pick at each other like brothers (brothers...lovers...whatever). *pauses to imagine Aquaman without pants* Justin Hartley, you're so damn pretty. Clark needs a costume if he's going to play for their team. And I love that Chloe got to be in the middle of it all. I bet she was glad to not just be Clark's girlfriend - this is so much better. I was so excited about the JL that I'm not sure if there was a plot or not. It was hard to hear over all the squealing and clapping.
So that's it. I love Lex. I love the Justice League. But I hate that there's something that neither is ever going to learn. There's a real enemy here. But because they refuse to trust and be trustworthy (although not always in that order *cough*Clark*cough*), they are doomed to waste immeasurable time and energy (time and energy that they could be using to fight together) fighting each other. Sad.
But so pretty.

Date: 2007-01-20 08:52 pm (UTC)I actually watched "Justice". The first SV ep I've seen in AGES. And lo, it was FANTASTIC! *squee*
So much pretty! So much slash! So much explody and fisticuffs and whoa, Green Arrow's Enhance-O-Voice is H-O-T. *flails about*
Also, Aquaman should be shirtless and wet at all times.
Also, Cyborg was totally checking Aquaman out in 33.1, when that door opened...
Humina.
