What is that poking feeling?
Jun. 26th, 2006 02:46 amOh. It's me being poked by
tjbrown1978. Sometimes things are exactly what they...are.
I've been cheating on you with myspace. And I'm not sorry about it! Myspace is addicting. I take no responsibility for my actions.
Also, I worked days last week, which equals very little online time because the computer must be shared. Well, I worked some days. I actually took two and a half days off to help my sister move into her new apartment. Good times. Who needs the gym when you can move furniture? We love our parents, but we were really glad that they went home Thursday and the schedule could return to normal. I think they were really glad to go home, too. Moving is hard work.
And
ravenluvslex and I have decided that we need to move to the beach. Or that the beach needs to move to us, since neither of us have any real intention of moving. Except her intention of moving here. That's still real.
My rearview mirror on my car fell off a couple of weeks ago. I enlisted Dad to assist in the reattachment process. Ah, bonding. Now the car is idling and the check engine light is on. Grr...sounds like transmission trouble to me. Transmission trouble is expensive. I wonder if my mechanic would be interested in my firstborn.
*yawns really, really big*
It's a little early in the shift for that. Perhaps I shall obtain a caffeinated beverage from the machine.

Date: 2006-06-27 06:09 am (UTC)Car trouble is never fun, and transmission work even less. I hope you have a trust worthy mechanic? I'm so paranoid about those people... sometimes they see a female and assume that we are suckers.
BTW how was the time at your rents house (last?) weekend?

Date: 2006-06-27 06:22 am (UTC)I trust my mechanic. They aren't annoyed at all when I request to go look at what they're talking about so that I can see the problem. They offer me several options, and I like that.
Unfortunately, the proposed repairs are $1700. Yeah. I don't have $1700. I think I'm going to talk to my friend who works on cars and see if he can fix it, now that I know what the problem is.
The time with the mom and dad at their house was great. They are much more relaxed at their house than at ours. They seem to always think they should be doing something when they visit us. Which makes me feel like I should also be doing something. This is the reason we visit them more often than they visit us.
