This was a great weekend. Gee, I'm glad that it autosaved my first word. It would have been a pain to have to retype "This." Mild mockery aside, the autosave is my most favoritist lj feature ever. I can just type away with reckless abandon and not have to fear that my brilliance will go unsaved.

Meanwhile, back on the ranch....

The weekend. Fun! After a lazy Thursday of not doing much but feeding Mel's cats and eating dinner with Tammy, Michelle, and Michelle's dad and stepmom, I woke up fairly early on Friday. I slept in green. You know, just in case the apartment gnomes were up and trying to pinch me when I got out of bed. I don't remember much else about Friday. That's the thing with having time off - it all just meshes into one big day in my mind. I do remember Granny driving [livejournal.com profile] ravenluvslex to Denton on Friday night instead of having me come get her Saturday morning so that we wouldn't be driving in the rain. Never mind that it was raining just as hard Friday night as it was Saturday morning. I think Granny just wanted the house to herself. Anyway, I got Raven a day early and didn't even have to leave the house to get her. Double bonus.

The birthday on Saturday was great. I woke up to rain, leisurely ate two pieces of cake and two mini-Creme Eggs that Raven brought me and watched a couple of episodes of the fifth season of Gilmore Girls that she bought me (squeal). Then we went to feed Mel's cats and changed evening plans to a place with an awning, on account of the rain. We spent the afternoon at Beth and Kim's playing games/eating pizza/drinking beer, and the evening at Sweetwater talking/giving me gifts/eating burgers/drinking beer. Best. Birthday. Ever.

I'm pretty easy to please. At least as long as there's beer.

Hey, we could still do that. I'm not opposed to celebrating again.

It seems I've missed your birthday, too. Where was I? Happy belated birthday!

Hey! *light bulb* We could have belated cake and ice cream to celebrate the both of us.

Mmm...coffee grounds...

You spoil me so.

Speaking of being spoiled, three people have now given me coffee for my birthday. Mel even brought back coffee from Kenya for me. My need for the brew beckons far and wide.
