Yay for the TV
Jan. 18th, 2006 04:43 amWow, I watched a lot of TV these last two days.
Beauty and the Geek:
As loathe as I am to admit that I like anything Ashton Kutcher does (why can't he just be pretty and stupid so I can mock him, already? Why does he actually have to have good ideas?), I love this show. And if I'm going down, I'm going to take someone with me, so I subjected
ravenluvslex to it. And now she likes it, too. I love the premise of the show. My favorite geek is Josh (the one with the squirrely red hair who's super nervous all the time). I don't have much else to say, except that a couple of the guys could stand to be less asshatty.
Gilmore Girls:
Lukism: "Matthew McConaughey always gets me rarin'." Heh. Me, too.
Just for the record, I think drinking syrup straight sounds fantastic. I almost went into my kitchen and tried it. Syrup is good. Mmmm...
Zach! "Welcome to the S.H., bitch!" LMAO!!
Roryism - "I don't know who Larry and David are, but they sure do know how to grow a pear."
I checked out the Gilmore Guide online. I think my favorite part was the "Dean's better. No, Logan's better. No, Dean." ad nauseum discussion on the message board. Save yourself. Run away. Or, you know, don't bother going there in the first place.
A rare phenomenon has occurred. Usually, when I lose interest in a character, I'm pretty much done with him/her forever. But Logan has won me back. I know; I'm weak. But...but...he sent Rory her own private coffee cart for the day. !!! Fresh coffee, just following her around, at her beck and call, everywhere she went. I strongly suspect that this is something I very much need. *yearns* I imagine that that's very much what Heaven must be like. *pines*
So I love Logan. I also liked how he placed himself in humiliation's way by going to Lorelai. Moxie, indeed. *pets him* That'll do, Logan. That'll do.
Oh. And is Luke crazy? Moving back the wedding date? It's not like this is a typical engagement, where they're still trying to get to know one another. They've known each other and have been in each other's lives for a thousand years. The house is ready. The event is planned. Everything's prepared. All he has to do is show up. What more is there to do besides have the wedding? The stressful part is over, and he didn't even have to deal with that. *sigh* If I were Lorelai, I don't know that I would have offered that option. I never have been very good at compromise. Perhaps that's a skill that I should work on.
Supernatural:
*gurgles happily* I've missed this show. I was actually home in time to see it. I loved this episode. I'm glad both of these actors are on a show where they can show off their talent, which is substantial. I guess I don't have anything spoilery to say, so I guess I didn't really have to cut tag it. :)
Yes. I watched American Idol. This is the part of the show that I like. I get bored when they only have the good singers on.
I can't believe that they kept the talking-to-the-animals guy. Morbid curiosity? He was definitely...something. I'm not sure what. But something.

Date: 2006-01-18 12:26 pm (UTC)Plus, my Dad called in the middle, so I missed a bit while he was updating me on a family friend. I am now appalled that Lorelai offered to delay the nuptials. She is soooo commitment shy. Therapy is in order.
I can't watch Supernatural. I laugh at all the wrong parts. But then I'm horrible in horror movies too. I heckle the screen.

And that was the end. AUGH. What happened?

Date: 2006-01-19 09:15 am (UTC)Then he went outside, and Seacrest brought Simon out so Grandma could talk to him. She wanted to know why he had to be so mean. He told her that he was giving her grandson false hope, and she said, "That's what a grandmother is supposed to do." Simon didn't argue, but insinuated that that was not his role. :) It was pretty entertaining.
My favorite was the girl who couldn't stop cussing. Heh. Even if she could have sung, they couldn't have taken her - she'd overwork the censor.

Date: 2006-01-28 07:18 pm (UTC)But Luke postponed the wedding? To borrow from Everybody Loves Raymond: IDIOT.
I still love Luke though.
