TV shows are like children
Feb. 9th, 2005 03:53 pmYou love them, you pay attention to them. And then they turn around and break your heart! I enjoyed TV last night
Gilmore Girls was great last night. Very good, yet very sad. I suppose The Big Gilmore Split was inevitable; you just can't mess with someone's love life like that and expect to remain amiable. But "You and me - we're done?" That'll be a fun picture to put on the mantle.
From amidst the chaos, I managed to extract two of my favorite Lukisms of the evening:
"No, I thought instead that I'd try to find a wild boar to maul me - just enough that I'll need medical attention so that I won't be able to go to your parents' thing tomorrow but, after some stitches and a transfusion, I'll still be able to make you coffee." Actually, that is perhaps my favorite Lukism of all time. He combines mauling by a wild boar and making coffee within the same thought. It takes a special person...
I also liked, "I do not dance spazzy." Tee hee!
Have I mentioned my love for Logan? :) At least he's honest about his not-boyfriend-material-ness. She was going on and on about liking him and wondering if he liked her and he stood there, grinning at her, being all cute and disarming. Perhaps my favorite Logan quote ever - "I feel like I'm kissing a guy....and apparently I had no idea what I was missing." *pets him*
Rory has given me a new descriptive phrase - "stop-eating-the-paste special." I promise to use it for good and not evil.
Great episode, two thumbs up.
OTH - ugh - drama! I know it's a prime time soap opera. I may be forced to switch my Tuesday night 8:00 viewing to Veronica Mars. If Jake weren't so damn cute...
