Birthday greetings and beyond
Nov. 23rd, 2004 12:11 pmHappy birthday to
slodwick, fan extraordinaire!
It's also my friend Mike's birthday. I should probably email him or something.
I have no motivation today. I'm tempted to glance through all my students' exams and say, "that looks about like an A (B...C...whatever)," just so I can give them back and get those papers out of my house.
I am so ready for Thanksgiving. We are having brisket instead of turkey, for which I am quite thankful. No turkey means no sage-infested stuffing that I will be guilted into eating, thus becoming very ill. I'm taking laundry, because if I don't I might not have clothes to wear, and that could be uncomfortable for others. I am not, however, taking anything school-related. The only book I'm taking is the Clay Aiken book.
I found out that I get to teach during the holiday mini-mester. Two classes. Eight hours a day. It will be like having a real job. They'll have to be very, very simple, because I'm not spending eight hours teaching and then taking things home with me. Just...no.
I'll probably check in again before I leave tomorrow. Everyone have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Date: 2004-11-23 11:14 pm (UTC)By having a very cute grandma that is very proud of her stuffing.
Heh. I went into the office this afternoon, and Clay was peering at me. "Read me....don't grade papers...look how cute I am..." Pesky little nerdy man.
