Hey - read this book
Aug. 12th, 2004 07:41 pmI couldn't sleep last night, so I finished (now after 2 months of trying to find time to finish it) Shampoo Planet by Douglas Coupland. I've been meaning to check it out for a while (ever since stumbling onto
couplandesque's journal, actually) but this summer was the first time I've gotten around to it, and it did not disappoint. Food for my little Gen-X soul. Can't wait to read more of his books.
Yay! I get to see
ravenluvslex tonight. That is, if she can tear herself away from her adoring throng. She will officially be my first overnight guest in the new apartment (you didn't think I'd post without mentioning the new apartment, did you?). Tomorrow, she gets to help me do a mess of laundry. I packed my dishes, vases, basically anything breakable in tshirts and pj bottoms and towels, so everything must be washed after being in the dusty boxes. I've done a lot, but The Little Washer and Dryer that Could in the new place just...can't...much longer, and I'd like to wear some of these things again before Christmas. So it's off to the laundromat we go. Fun.
