My current state - sniffly, sneezy, puffy-eyed, no peripheral vision (because I'm in the glasses...because of the puffiness), mouth agape (because I'm so stopped up that I can no longer breathe through my nose) [so, very attractive indeed], but surprisingly chipper. I think the Claritin just kicked in. It's ok to take three at once, right?

I spent the weekend with the parents. Lots of parties and showers. I spent Friday night at a party with their Sunday school class (yes...it was as riveting as it sounds). Free food - yea! And I got to play with their grandkids...I'm a sucker for the babies nowadays (wonder why? :) ).

Saturday, I slept in, which was wonderful. That afternoon, I had a wedding shower for a girl I went to high school with - they're going to be living in Austin. Woo-hoo! One more excuse to go play in Austin (you'd think I'd get down there more often)! We went directly from that one to a baby shower for a neighbor of theirs that I grew up with who just had twins. She got a lot of diapers, which is good, since she said she goes through about 20 a day. Yikes. I just had a daycare flashback.

Sunday was standard. I started getting sick then, so I wasn't very good company. I came home, hung out with Tammy for a bit, and then went to bed.

I'm going back this weekend to see one of the cousins get married. Just when I'll be feeling better, right back into the dust storms. Maybe it will rain (wouldn't the bride just love that?).

Not really. It was fitful. My bed looks like someone danced a jig in it, and I just might have. I must have succeeded a little, though, since I feel basically rested.
