I'm such a clutz. I got up to answer the phone last night, dropped my plate, tripped over carpet fuzz (or dust in the air - take your pick), stepped on the plate and, thus, broke it and sliced my foot. I answered the phone out of breath, realized that I was bleeding profusely, and hung up, promising my fairly concerned sister that I would call her back. I then hobbled to the bathroom, trailing blood all the way (it's a good thing that I don't actually like my carpet, because some of that just isn't coming out), where I commenced washing my foot and sitting on the bathroom floor, lightheaded, while elevating it and applying pressure to the wound. It eventually stopped bleeding so I called Tammy back, lest she worry. Do you have any idea how hard it is to walk when the bottom of your foot is cut without reopening the cut? No? Then let me tell you - it's pretty damn hard. So I crawled on my hands and knees the rest of the night before finally giving up to go to bed.

So that was my little adventure. How are you?

The icon you're staring at is brought to you by [livejournal.com profile] ladylynx. I find it particularly befitting my state of injury. I can relate.

In other news, I am going to wait until tomorrow when the students are in group meetings to post my recap of the wonderful weekend spent with [livejournal.com profile] bubbles79 and [livejournal.com profile] ravenluvslex. Try to contain your excitement.

Yes! Smallville tonight! *dances as wildly as is currently possible*

Secret message to [livejournal.com profile] chicklet73 - the long awaited love buzz is on its way. Hopefully it won't be stale when it gets there. I think we're ok, though - the guy at the post office said, "Whoa - I smell coffee" when I handed him the box. Enjoy!

At least I'm curable.

Doooood! Sorry to hear about your foot! And I can empathize with the difficulty of walking (or lack thereof) when you have a gash on the bottom of your foot.

Do you think you need stiches??

And you, OCD??? Nah, that stuffs normal! *stands up, sits down 3 times before twirling chair around 360 degrees*. See?

And my icon is meant to be ironic ... *bg*

lol Thanks for the paraded icon. My foot appreciates it.

I don't need stitches - I don't think. It was a pretty shallow cut. It's not going to leave much of a scar, but if it does, at least it's on the bottom of my foot.

What's most embarrassing is explaining to people face to face why I'm limping and watching them try to contain their laughter.

I'm glad everything seems to be ok now.

Yes...I had to remind myself that he wasn't flirting - that he meant coffee the beverage, not coffee the me.

Only 4%??? Weak!!!

Sorry about your foot. How unlucky. :( One thing leads to another. No stitches I hope? Should I send something--or someone--to kiss it better?

I'm sporting a 3M Nexcare bandage - it's the only kind I'm not allergic to. But it comes in lovely colors. Yesterday was orange; today is yellow. I'm so easily amused.
