I had to tape Asylum last night, since I was in class, and I'm glad that I did, because I don't think I could have waited through the commercials. I got home right after it was over, so I watched Anyone else wishing that squirrely guy (Oscar....Oliver...whatever) had taken the pills? He seriously annoyed me. He was awarded the first "I hope you die" of the evening. And I think I need a t-shirt with Seth's face and the words "I'm not weak; I'm delicate," on it. Not only because it's funny, but - bonus - Adam Brody on my chest. Yay.
I loved, loved, loved the opening scene so much that I'm thinking of making it my new pet. I loved the use of color and shadow. I loved the FOTW pop-ups. I loved everything that MR did in that particular scene, even the part where he broke my heart with all his Clexy touching and dashed hopes. Maybe Clark deserved the little kryptonite snack he got. He was my second "I hope you die," even though I am not anti-Clark. But I can't say that I'm pro-Clark any more either. Stupid wussy Superman boy. Think outside the box, Clark. Outside!!!
Lionel is a dirty bastard. He earned more "I hope you die"'s than anyone else. Fake tears. Bastard. "Do it again." Bastard. Only regretting the hideous thing he did to Lex because he thought it erased Clark's secret. Die, bastard, die!!! John Glover is a genius.
Speaking of erasing Lex's memory...I am in the "Lex still knows Clarkie's little secret" camp.
The Kents really annoyed me this time. I love how Bo told Clark that he wasn't saying that he should trade Lex's well-being for his own protection, but that he should think of himself. So...in other words....trade Lex's well-being for his own protection. Idiot.
I like that Adam boy. It's about time the writers had a character tell Lana to suck it up. I even liked her this episode. Weird.
My favorite scene of all in this ep was when Clark was (finally) breaking Lex out. There's a difference between knowing something is true and actually seeing it happen, and the two of them played that very well.
Oh, and I love Lex. The end.

Hee! That was exactly my thing! Jonathan: "Not saying you should Let Lex rot....except I am pretty much saying you should let Lex rot". What a grade a bastard!
