aelora first...
1) Which would you choose, to live for 10 years of relative happiness or 20 years of relative sadness.
20 years of relative sadness. Sadness isn't necessarily bad. And if the rest is relatively...not sad...then that's ok. And I hope that my 20 years has past.
2) If there was one book, play or movie that you could erase from your memory just to enjoy reading/seeing it again for the first time, what would it be?
The Once and Future King. I loved that book. I still do, but it's just not the same when you know how it ends.
3) Would you stay at a job that paid you $150,000 a year if you really disliked your co-workers because they were narrow minded bigots? If not, what circumstances would make you stay at a job like that?
Oh, yes. What's left of my sanity has a price, and that just about covers it. Besides, I had the first 18 years of my life to practice dealing with people like that, so I'm pretty good at it by now.
4) What are the three most important traits of friendship?
Honesty, loyalty, sense of humor.
5) What are the three physical things about someone that attract you the most?
Lips. I could waste many a happy hour staring at a nice set of lips. Strong hands. General lankiness (for lack of a better word).
6) If you were truly in love with someone and you knew they were interested in you but they were unhappily married, would you pursue them?
No. First of all, I can't even work up the nerve to ask someone out who's probably interested when he's single. Second, relationships are difficult enough without having to deal with a third person (although...never mind). And third, my temporary happiness (because, let's face it - I'm pretty fickle) isn't worth causing that third party, who probably is also in love with the guy, that kind of pain.
Of course, having said this, I am recalling a time where I did pursue someone who was taken. But they weren't married, so it doesn't count. :)
7) If you could make a wish come true, would you make someone you are in love with, but who does not love you, fall in love with you without their consent?
Well, if I made them fall in love with me, then they would technically be consenting after the fact, right? :)
I probably wouldn't. I would just eventually lose interest and move on to someone who is smart enough to love me back.
8) If you ate the last cookie, candy, or piece of pie do you admit it?
Yes. Gleefully. Complete with dancing. Except that I can never bring myself to eat the last piece. Stupid southern hospitality upbringing.
9) What is the one thing that you own that you would never give up?
My ring that Margat made me. I can't replace it, and it reminds me of her.
10) What are the three things you like the most about yourself?
My sense of humor, my loyalty to friends, my taste in coffee... :) (couldn't think of a third real one)
