Reports of my demise = greatly exaggerated
Jul. 1st, 2005 11:27 amNo, I'm not dead. I've just been without regular internet access.
Hopefully, however, that shall change in the near future. My pastor built me a computer, and I'm applying for a job where I'd be sitting in front of a computer for 8-hour stretches of time (yes - you read that right - eight hours - in a row - in one place - and that place is so close to my house that I could walk there if ever the mood struck. That alone is enough to make it my dream job) with relatively little to do. So, one way or another, I shall chat with you on a regular basis again soon (assuming that I'm not filtered off everyone's reading list for being away for so long).
Last night, I added something to my list of things I'm not allowed to say to Keanu Reeves if I ever meet him. "Hey - you look familiar. Oh, I know - they did a sketch of you on Robot Chicken!" Robot Chicken is animation for the short attention span (i.e., right up my alley).
What the...?!?! It's disturbing when the computer next to you in the very quiet library starts singing. At least my jumping out of my skin was entertaining to its user.
Speaking of things in the library, I have so many books to add to my 50-in-a-year list, but I left my notes (yes, I took notes. What?) at home, so they will have to wait until another day. Just as a warning - I finally got sucked into Harry Potter. Maybe it's just a phase.
The removable hard drive is the coolest thing that ever was. I have my whole life stored on that baby, it fits in my purse, and I haven't even used a tenth of the storage space.
The classes end next week. Two more days. *much rejoicing*
