In no particular order:

1. The Cousin's wedding Friday was nice. Long, but nice.

2. Must. Take. A. Real. Weekend. This. Weekend. So. Tired.

3. Purrr....hot student taking test. Yeah, you can make it up. You can make it up by...

4. Going to see Fahrenheit 911 this Friday with a friend who wants to "discuss" it afterwards. Cool, right? Not when said friend knows nothing (no...seriously...NOTHING) about politics.

5. I can no longer finish a #3 from Taco Bueno by myself, and I really shouldn't have tried because the students are doing demonstrative speeches tonight, which always means lots of free food.

6. Last week of day classes. Payday is Wednesday. That will make it all worth it, right?

7. Watered-down Dr. Pepper tastes horrible.

8. Rain makes me sleepy...apparently. Or maybe it's just, um, lack of sleep...

9. I have been having daydreams about freelance writing for newspapers/magazines/etc. You know, until I post something lame like this, and then reality comes crashing in around me.

10. My favorite of the literary insults I received from Hope today (addressed to me via email, not directed at me). I do love a good insult.

"He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." -Winston Churchill

"A modest little person, with much to be modest about." -Winston Churchill

"He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary." -William Faulkner (about Ernest
Hemingway)

"Poor Faulkner. Does he really think big emotions come from big words?" -Ernest Hemingway (about William Faulkner)

"He had delusions of adequacy." - Walter Kerr

"I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it." -Groucho Marx

"He inherited some good instincts from his Quaker forebears, but by diligent hard work, he overcame them." -James Reston (about Richard Nixon)

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." -Mark Twain

"He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts...for support rather than illumination." -Andrew Lang (1844-1912)
