On my way back from ECC this afternoon, I decided to stop by the new Victoria's Secret at Northpark, just to see what all the fuss was about (it's reportedly the biggest one ever in Texas, which I suppose is saying something, since we have a reputation for liking things big) and also because I earn triple points on my gold card there through the end of this week. And it did not disappoint. I damn near started frothing at the mouth when I walked in. I wasn't "dressed" for mall shopping (you know the looks you get when you look like a hoodlum...or a poor person), so the salesladies were skeptical, but they smiled anyway and caught on quickly when I whipped that VS gold card out. It was glorious. They have everything. I spent a good deal of time in their "pink" section, trying not to be too obvious in my ogling of a certain model on the wall, but I ended up not spending more than I planned, despite her "look how cute I am...don't you want what I'm wearing?" gaze. *pats self on back*

I've been reading this book called Human Croquet, and I'm really liking the author (Atkinson? I think that's it. Kate or Kathy, or something). Her descriptions are priceless. She described a character by saying that he "smells faintly of old cheese rinds" (try to get that unpleasantness out of your head). My favorite so far, though, is when she describe one of the brunnette characters as having "hair the colour of small timid mammals." That is so how I'm describing my hair color from now on - it's much more interesting than "brown," although, admittedly, not very complimentary. But funny beats complimentary any day, in my book.

The students are testing tonight. I may have to catch up on fan fic while they slave away. :)
