Yay for lists!

tjbrown1978 and Joel's wedding was awesome. I had fun. I also learned that martinis and mojitos don't mix. No, the mint in the mojito does not serve as a tummy soother, just so you know.
2.ravenluvslex moved in. Yay! I have a roommate! And she brought Johnny Depp with her. OK, so not actually Johnny Depp. But the poster on her bedroom door is a great thing to come home to every morning. Good morning to me.
3. We have some Assistant Hall Director positions opening up in the fall, and I have applied. I have mixed feelings about it. Pros - free rent, cable, utilities, and phone; the very real possibility that I might be able to make ends meet with just one job (I don't even remember what that's like any more - it will seem like vacation all the time); enjoying what I do; saving a lot of money on gas because I'd live where I work. Cons - having to move again; not getting to takeravenluvslex with me; having to live where I work. We'll see.
4. My sister's birthday was fun. We ate sushi for lunch, saw Music and Lyrics (cheesy-cute; Hugh Grant's character is hilarious. I need the person who wrote his lines to be male, hot, single, and local.) that afternoon, and had Thai at Sweet Basil that evening, followed by cake and ice cream. I was so full I thought I was going to die. At least I would have died happy.
5. Classes are still going on, and I haven't killed anyone yet.
In the next month....
1. I am officially training for a 5K on July 4th. This will be my first official race/run since junior high. I am excited and nervous. I am ecstatic that this means I can justify buying new running shoes.
2. I am chopping the hair off. This is what I want it to look like.
This may mean even more shopping, since I don't currently own a flat iron.
3. I am going back to wearing contacts. The glasses have been fun. I just miss having peripheral vision.
4. With the impending running goal, I am overhauling the diet in order to fuel the effort. I've been reading up on the Sonoma diet, and I like its whole foods approach, so I'm adopting it (loosely - I won't give up sushi, and I won't make it with brown rice. Just...no.) as a structure. I'm totally on board with a diet that doesn't ask me to give up coffee and wine.
5. There may or may not be an interest in a boy who may or may not be interested back. This month should clear some things up regarding this issue.
6. Sam and Markos are moving to New Zealand in April. Sad. But he found a job there, so I'm happy for them in that way. But sad.
7. The birth-weekend is coming up. I'm doing the dinner celebration the night before on St. Patrick's Day so that I can go to the club on my actual birthday. If all goes according to plan, I will begin and end the 24-hour birthday period in the company of friends, which is always nice.

I'm very happy that you haven't killed anybody (yet). I just can't have you going to prison...that just won't do. Therefore I am also sending good vibes to keep the classes as they are going - nice and steady.
