*rolls around on floor*
Sep. 29th, 2006 01:27 amOh, my shows. It's been so long. Welcome back.
Gilmore Girls -
I left last season mad at Luke. But I kinda feel bad for him now.
And wow, I hope that Logan meant all of that by the gift of the rocket. Because if he didn't, that's one hell of a misunderstanding they've got there.
That's all I have. I enjoyed the show. I just don't have much to say about it.
Smallville, on the other hand, I must say something about. I'm not sure it will be coherent, because there was a whole lot of gutteral utterance going on during its viewing, but I'll try.
Overview - LOVE! How I've missed it. And it did not disappoint. It was everything a superhero episode should be.
I cannot say enough about Zod!Lex. No words can do justice to his magnificence. I wish, however, that he didn't talk about himself in third person. That's something that I've never been able to take seriously. There's probably a canon reason there that I'm missing, but it had somewhat of a caveman effect with me. BUT! Other than that, he was just like I imagined he would be. *dreamy, faraway look*
Because he's such a badass - some Zodisms (relive the beauty of the facial expressions in your head, because that's what makes them exciting):
About Lex's feelings for Lana - "They left an unpleasant taste when I consumed his essence."
Looking her up and down, then - "The fate of your race will not be yours if you give me what I want." Ok. Yes. Whatever Zod!Lex wants.
Zod!Lexana was hot. I'm not the biggest Lexana fan, but the intensity here was just...just...*gurgles*
And the look on his face when Clark walked in? *melts*
Oh my. Flying Clex. Excellent. And the landing? Heh. Dirty. Literally. Rolling around together on the ground...and then...and then..."Kneel before Zod." And Clark does. This is my happiest Smallville moment ever. It's like a dream come true.
And I liked Clark this episode. Especially when he said, "My father send his regards. *smirk*" That was a pretty badass line for a farm boy.
I like the Chloe/Jimmy storyline, too. But I have a question - are we not supposed to realize that he looks remarkably like a former FOTW? Word on the street is he's a twin, yes? Was there really no one else in the world to play this part?
And I love the fleeting look Clark gave Jimmy at the end when he and Chloe went off to have "lunch." That I-so-could-melt-you-with-my-eyes look. Cute.
End with the Martha quote: "Every world needs its heroes. They inspire us to be better than we are. And they protect us form the darkness that's just around the corner."
These are the reasons I love superhero stories. *loves so much*
Supernatural -
I don't have a lot to say, because this was a really emotional episode for me. I don't know what to think.
Except...PRETTY. Oh my. So very pretty.
And best line goes to Dean - "I full-on Swayze-ed that mother!" I laughed and laughed.
*happy sigh*
