I was going to do House-isms, like I do Lukisms. But then I realized that there are just too many. I'd have to type up every line he said. As entertaining as that would be, I just...no.

OK. Maybe a few.
- "That's why all those hookers don't kiss me on the mouth."
- "If you're dying, suddenly everybody loves you."
- "Is it still illegal to perform an autopsy on a living person?"
- "Gruesome and low tech - kiss me - I love it!"

Note to self - don't watch medical dramas while eating. Especially when they tell you ahead of time that they're going to siphon off large amounts of blood. Look away!

Speaking of Lukisms:
- "I don't know just how much mutual squiring you and I are going to be doing."

Emily Gilmore is The Evil. "They don't like it when you talk to them?" Just when I think she can't have her head any farther up her ass, there she goes, cramming it in further.

Heh. Go on a website or something.

Heh. So, Rory - suddenly not liking all your choices being made for you? Huh. Acting out a little, are we? Wow. She's so...19.

Yay! They're keeping Lorelai's house! She doesn't have to move into the creepy house that's bigger than the two of them will ever, ever need. And with more bedroom/closet space! Win/Win!

I hate the fighting. I love Luke. He rules. Lorelai and Rory are twelve. Talk, dammit! Shutting each other out and the very mature "You hurt me!" "No! You hurt me!" banter is really annoying. I want them to resolve their conflict as if they are actually adults - is that too much to ask?

And not only is Emily's head up her ass, but she also had a new maid by the end of the program........

You're right. If I began trying to quote all the quotable stuff in House, I might as well just post a transcript.

Last night's ep...I still really liked it. Most of it. But it had an odd feel to me. Especially the end. There were lots of really artsy camera angles, and it almost seemed like it was trying sooo hard to be a Quirky Yet Dramatic Event. I don't know.

And the less we see of House having a "soft side", the better. I'm all for complex, three-dimensional characters, but I don't want him to be already redeemed, to have him be the typical, gruff on the outside yet soft and squishy on the inside character.

I would have been much happier if he'd stayed in his office at the end, snorting antihistamine.

Still, a great show and all. I just had to get that out of my head. Was I crazy, or did you notice too?

I do like him gruff. I don't mind that he was there, though. However, I was chanting "don't hug the girl; don't hug the girl." I'm glad he didn't. I hope they don't rush into "reforming" him. If they want to put it off three or four years, even...

Yes - if they insist on reforming him, do it slowly, gradually...

I didn't fall in love with this show because he was a cranky man with a heart of gold.

Part of what I love about House is he gets to say things we'd all like to say but we're too bound by politeness, political correctness, what have you.

Of course, the other part I love about him is that he's quite yummy.

Bless you!

Until [livejournal.com profile] dolimir_k and I can get two cable subs we had to compromise on TV choices for the new season. As much as I miss GG, it was not one of my deal breakers! Thanks for the reaction highlights!

PS - Are you safe where you ae, hon? *fretting over latest storm*

Oh, yes. I'm plenty safe. Texas is a big place - I'm a four-hour drive north of Houston.

We are expecting lots of evacuees.

House rocks

I love the House-isms - brilliant. I totally agree with chicklet73 about the weird feel and the scary idea of House being boring typical. They were trying a little too hard this ep. Love it, tho!

hope

Hope!

I guess I didn't notice it much, because I was talking on the phone and eating at the same time. I have a blessedly short attention span. :)
