coffeesnob318Hey, this show didn't suck! I had minimal expectations, and it surpassed them a little!
Aw, Clark has an ice castle. And damn, he's pretty. It always surprises me how pretty he is. It seems like I'm not the only one who likes shiny things. He was a little flirty with that ice crystal. The whole opening scene was gorgeous.
I give the new opening credits two thumbs up.
The Kents in their broken house rent my heart in twain. John Schneider did some pretty good work there. I actually cried at the thought that Martha might not make it. I'm paranoid. I expect them to kill people off. *sniffs* You'll have to excuse me. Smallville makes me emotional these days.
"Here...in your (wait for it...wait for it) Fortress of Solitude." OHHHH...that's what it is. *anvil* *bruising*
Uh, fortress of non-solitude, maybe. You know, with Chloe there and all. I got chills, though, when she bluntly told him she knew he could go fast and say, "Go Clark." I love Allison Mack. She was dead on tonight. "I wonder who's more freaked out right now." Heh. I love the way she handled that. Then he darted off, and she said, "Whoa." So cute. *loves*
I love Lex saying, "You're safe now." Isn't that Superman's (ha! I slipped and typed "supermam" first. Freud would be proud) line?
Oh, and I love Lex period.
I know it's been a long time since I've seen last season's finale, but why is Lionel compulsively scratching the floor?
Lex is more patient than I am. I love Direct!Lex. He seems more in control. "Be straight with me for once." Heh. That line was sooo for us. *is twelve* He spelled it out - even a stupid alien freak (tm) should be able to understand this - "If you're my friend, just tell me the truth." And, of course, the bastard pointedly lied. Remind me again why I am supposed to believe that it's Lex who is the bad guy.
Having said that, I was surprisingly disturbed when Clark bled. Freaked me out, it did.
